History

Description

A simple barrel slalom consisting of 6 barrels and a single jump. The required path is marked on the ground as a simple line to follow. The final jump is not excessively high but a slight turn is useful whilst passing though the hoop.

Tips

  • Follow the defined path
  • Most barrels require over 180 degrees, ensure you have enough movement for your mouse
  • Curve your jump through the last hoop

Location

Flintstones

History

Inspired by some fun comic terrain found on Marketplace, they tallied nicely with some comic textures already purchased. Combining them and the Flintstones course was created which in the end became a hybrid course.

The concept of the runaway boulders was taken from a course at WPG which had balls rolling down ramps. The scripts for triggering the runaway rocks was created by Jezzie (Jez Mertel)

Description

Welcome to the prehistoric world of The Flintstones, where health and safety have not yet been invented. This prehistoric course covers 6840 square meters and is a hybrid course consisting of barrels, jumps and gate slaloms. As a ponygirl, your goal is to safely navigate this rocky world.

The course takes you to the top of the Flintstones world before descending and exploring their living accommodations and transportation. Pony carts were not invented in the days of the caveman.

On the ascent to the top of this rocky world, look out for runaway boulders. Navigate the narrow rock bridge to the plateau where some wild palm trees are sprouting.

Heading down a couple of ladders you have to jump stacks of logs whilst winding down a narrow path in the rock face.

Zip through the slalom posts and through the house carved into the rocks. Then back out and dodge around the house, the palm trees and the rock car to finish the course.

Tips

  • Get your timing right when jumping the boulders. Be aware of the next one about to come down the hill.
  • Jump over the stone bridge for speed.
  • When decending and jumping the log piles, ensure you don’t jump too far else you’ll twist an ankle and be stalled for a second or so.

Alice’s Pretty Pills

History

This is the forth and final course in the Alice in Wonderland set.  Created in 2025 with the initial idea from Mucku and technical help from Barley Sugar. Description

Approach along a path made from books through the now familiar checker board wall with playing card pillars. Once again the pony enters the crazy world of Wonderland as they pass through an arch way lined with climbing roses.

Passing into a crazy house you follow checker board passages lit by flaming sconces. The path takes you through a number of barred gates and through various rooms where you have to pass around barrels and other object from the stories, including pills, potions and cakes.

Once these barred rooms have been negotiated you exit out into a wide grassy area with the White Rabbit pointing the way. Dodging around more cakes, tea cups and trees, the perspective is continually changing by means of scaled object.

This barrel course includes a new “trap” never before seen in a pony play course and perfectly fitting for the Alice term “Down the rabbit hole” Using the power of the SecondLife Experience, should a pony fail, they “fall down the rabbit hole” to find themselves teleported back to the middle of the course. Timing is critical here.

Around a few more ‘Barrels’ and the course ends by jumping through a raised hoop.  In total there are 13 obstacles to navigate through this run through Wonderland.

Tips

  • Make a clean jump of the reed pond or you’ll end up doing half of the course again.

Heartbeat Barrel Slalom

History

Designed by Lila (Liviana Benelli) the Heartbeat Barrel slalom is designed to resemble the ECG trace of a heartbeat.

Lila (Liviana Benelli)

Description

This fun little course is different to most slaloms insofar as the barrels are placed at irregular intervals and in some cases very close together. This means it’s very difficult to get a rhythm going and thus although it’s a simple course, it really tests a ponies ability to adapt.

Visually this course is a simple black ECG trace and the barrels are simple wooden posts wrapped in rope. The rope wrapping offers the pony minor impact protection against injury, however this remains better than the solid barrels of other courses.

The course consists of 11 barrels and a turn around post and is a ‘there and back’ course.

Location

This course can be found on both of the FFF Course fields inside the course rezzer.
